Junior High Counselor: Mrs. Borgogno

Hello! I am excited to begin the 2026-2027 school year as the Intervention Counselor at Briggs K-8 School.

I began my career with the Chino Valley Unified School District in 2006 as a high school counselor. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, my teaching credential from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and my master's degree from Azusa Pacific University.

My husband, Maté, and I are proud parents of four sons. Outside of work, I spend much of my time traveling across the country to support my boys in their baseball endeavors. I also enjoy boating and making memories with my extended family.

As the Intervention Counselor, my goal is to help every student have a positive and successful junior high school experience. I am here to support students with academic planning, career and college exploration, and personal or social concerns. I believe that every student can succeed, and I look forward to partnering with students, families, and staff to help make that happen.

Students are welcome to stop by my office between 8:00 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. with a pass from their teacher. Parents are always welcome to stop by or contact me to schedule an appointment.

A Little About Me

Education is truly a family passion. My husband is also a teacher in the Chino Valley Unified School District, and together we have two wonderful children and two fur babies.

When I am not at school, I enjoy:

🌎 Traveling and exploring new places
💪 Exercising and staying active
⚽ Attending my children's sporting events
🌲 Spending time in nature and enjoying the outdoors
🐾 Making memories with our fur babies

I believe that strong relationships, kindness, and a sense of belonging help students thrive both in and out of the classroom.
