Wellness Room

A classroom with comfortable seating areas and a 'Grow with Kindness' bulletin board.A well-lit classroom with comfortable seating areas and decorative ceiling panels.

Our Wellness Room is designed to provide a relaxing environment where students have access to a variety of tools to utilize at school. Some items students can find at the Wellness Room are aromatherapy diffusers, art utensils, board games, brain puzzles, coloring sheets, mindfulness books, stress balls, word search sheets and zen music.

Students can utilize the center based on a teacher’s referral or by request. In the event that a student(s) experiences emotional distress or needs a break from life’s daily stressors, students are welcome to use the Wellness Room for 10-15 min brain breaks to self-regulate.  We provide a supervised environment that is safe, calming, and inclusive.

Our mission is to empower students to promote and manage their own social, emotional, and physical health while striving to support all areas of their lives that may impact their academic potential.

The Wellness Room is scheduled to open October 5th,  2026. Hours may vary due to the availability of the MTSS-B counselors.

Junior High hours are Mondays and Fridays during lunch. Elementary hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunch.

  • A row of colorful pencils arranged on a white background.

  • A close-up view of textured glass with vertical lines, creating a blurred, abstract pattern.

  • A serene rock garden with raked sand patterns and large stones.

Traditionally used in meditation, tabletop zen gardens allow you to take a break from daily stress and create a soothing moment by raking the sand and arranging tiny rocks and trees in a miniature garden space of your own. Try it out in the Wellness Center.

  • A colorful chart with six sections, each offering examples of self-soothing, distraction, emotional awareness, mindfulness, physical activities, and practice self-care.
